Was an honour to witness @CityofVancouver’s Freedom of the City Award given to Dr. Josef Wosk. This award is infrequent befitting its significance & must be unanimously supported by mayor and council. Dr. Wosk spoke eloquently about the social contract of living in a city.

My grandfather, a Holocaust survivor from Poland, moved to Vancouver in 1949 & built a business manufacturing wire coat hangers & distributing dry cleaning supplies on the Strathcona corner of Union & Glenn.
