@RyanKoenigsberg not scoring a single run would be an easy bet to make. the people who argue otherwise don’t know how hard it is to hit a baseball. This sounds absurdly low, but statistically they’d have less than a .1% chance to get a hit, to string together enough to score a run is impossible.

There's a lesson here.
A lot of people were questioning Clingan after a shaky rookie year. For solid reason. But now? Now, there is growing hype around the offensive rebounding machine who is providing massive value at both ends of the floor.
We (the press, Twitter, fans, ball knowers) need more patience. You can't bury (or crown) a guy after one season. You need a summer or two of off-season training, of body development, of mental adjustments.
I know because I lived it.
Year 1: I barely played
Year 2: I earned more PT than coach told me he planned on giving me
Year 3: They decided I would be the guy going forward
If you only saw my Year 1 numbers -- or Clingan's -- you would've assumed short careers. But you didn't know the adjustments we'd make, the work we'd put in, or the confidence we'd build.
That was my truth. That was his truth. And we're not the only ones.

That’s a powerful way to frame it, and honestly, it cuts right to the core of QB evaluation.
The “born vs made” idea isn’t about work ethic vs talent—it’s about instinct. The guys who are born to play QB process faster, feel pressure without seeing it, and make the right decision before everyone else even realizes what’s happening. You can’t really coach that.
At the same time, the “made” guys can still be great—but they often need the right system, more development time, and everything around them to click.
If you truly believe there are only two in this class who were born for it, then those are the ones worth betting on—because when it hits, that’s how you find a franchise changer, not just a solid starter.
