A self confessed Police Informant for Lancashire Police (Paul Turner) threatened to kill my wife and children and posted dispicable things on the internet about me and them.
Lancs police chose not to prosecute him (CPS authorised the charge)
I made it clear online that @LancsPolice were protecting a police informant So Lancs police charged me with Malicious Communications for naming him.
I was acquitted of course, and I also sued them of course.

1/ Exactly 16 years ago today, I was arrested in Weare, NH for filming police during a traffic stop and charged with felony wiretapping.
I took it to the 1st Circuit — and won.
Gericke v. Begin found citizens have a clearly established right to record officers performing their duties in public.
One arrest.
One landmark victory for transparency and the First Amendment.
Still standing tall.

A big venue in Philly told us they’d be taking 20% of merch. I said “Are you going to be selling it?” He laughed and said no. So I simply lied about how much we sold and handed him a $20 bill at the end of the night.

I've said this before and I'll keep banging this drum ... charging a touring performer 20% commission on their merch sales when they man the stall themselves with their own card machine is morally indefensible. Plenty of venues don't do this. It's not industry standard. It's grasping and greedy.

I had a client who got married back in the 60s.
Her Anglican priest asked her if she was a virgin. She said no. So he told her she had to wear a blue wedding dress and could only be married in the little side chapel, not the main cathedral.

Her: I asked how much the cost of the medication was and told them I couldn’t afford it.
Me: Let’s call and demand that they change it.
Her: Thanks. I literally don’t know what I did wrong.
Fellow healthcare professionals, your patients ARE reading your notes on MyChart. Please don’t label anyone as “non compliant” when you really mean barriers to access to care.
