Great to hear from 65th birthday boy Detzi Kruszynski. The former Dons midfielder made 82 appearances between 1989-92 and tells me “Wimbledon times, best memories ever.” Will be speaking to him soon to invite him to Plough Lane. Thank you to @EmilKot for putting us in touch 🤝

⏪ ..but if we’re going waaay back, it was the first time #OTD that *someone* went to a #Wimbledon game (I know, how does that seem possible?! 😊) We won 5-0. Att: 1971. Beasant Brown Armstrong Galliers (1) Smith Cunningham Ketteridge (1) Hodges Leslie (2) Cork (1) Hubbick #AFCW

Reward for his impressive form and development. Ogs has cemented a first team starting spot with his composed, wholehearted displays, he adds pace to the rearguard and obviously loves playing for Wimbledon. This announcement will be well received by the fan base.

Need to sort out the ticket issue. All seats around me completely sold out running up to the game and I’ve got here and there plenty of empty seats. If people don’t resell their tickets they should get their ticket revoked very simple. #AFCW

48 years ago today, skippered by 35 year-old Dave Donaldson, who was still working for British Airways, Wimbledon made their Football League debut with a 3-3 draw against Halifax Town in front of 4,616 at Plough Lane. Jeff Bryant, John Leslie and Roger Connell scored for the Dons
