Steven Spielberg is moving the camera like he’s 30 years old. He is simply alive with cinema. I’m reviewing shots from West Side Story in my head and I don’t know how he did it. Bravo Maestro.

I watched his films with such awe and envy. Today, I feel robbed of a friend and the many stories he had yet to tell. Please join me in watching one of his films this week. If you’ve seen Dallas Buyers Club or Wild, go find his debut film, the Quebecois masterpiece “C.R.A.Z.Y.”

My heart is broken by the loss of the great filmmaker Jean-Marc Vallee. His taste in music was exquisite. His camera was as fluid as a dance. Watch any of his films and you will see what an actor is truly capable of.
