@rob_bohanan @TheDrainmaker @KingColl96 Honestly, Darby winning was a great idea for a great feel good moment. So to me, I don’t think Darby being the World Champion is the problem. In fact I think he’ll surprise most within 4 weeks. But the real problem is having MJF’s entire reign getting squashed within a minute.

@cape_wrestles It would be great. But Im not expecting this match to go past 5 minutes to cook and be as great as everyone thinks it’ll be. I think it’s gonna a typical Brock Lesnar match where they get to spectacle of the result as quick as possible. Hopefully the result is Oba winning.

If Brock Lesnar wins, I want a moment like this where he acknowledges Oba. You can lose and still go over. Just want a great match tbh.

@RhodesKotaEra I’ll say this, if some of these feuds had more priority than the ones that WWE are trying to push. The build to Mania would’ve felt different. Like if WWE focused more on Drew v Fatu, Asuka v Iyo, Liv v Vacquer, gave Seth v Gunther more time, my hype levels would be at a 8.5/10.

The build to Mania has been absolutely abysmal but the only thing I'll give credit for is that at least newer talent is getting on the card.

@wrestling_VI I like him winning. I don’t like the idea of him squashing. Although a great moment, it still felt a bit anti-climactic for me because it was a squash. It maybe would’ve been cool if they did that first segment, instead the main event, and then Darby squashes MJF.

@BackupHangman I think it’s the right call. And hey, maybe his reign surprises people. Kinda like Swerve’s, people are going to throw it away immediately, but, I believe Darby can make a main event feel special when given something substantial and not being put in a vortex all the time.

I really don’t know if Darby Allin winning the title tonight is the right call, that’s something that time will tell.. What I can say is the win was electrifying and AEW told an awesome one night story from the opening to close and they nailed the presentation. Everyone involved from Max to Renee to Bryan to Darby to Sting was ON tonight.

@Peps_Wrestling My thing is, if you they were gonna tell the story that he’s not ready, they should’ve rung the bell during the first segment, instead of giving him nearly 2 hours to get ready. You probably could’ve still told that story in a 7–10 minute match where MJF keeps trying to cheat.

The way the title switch was done was great for the way the story was going throughout the night MJF talking about how he isn't/wasn't ready and all, a longer match (while it would have been "better") would have completely negated that part of the story in the upcoming weeks as well as on this specific night As Conner said, it's an odd time for it, but maybe that's why it fits? Idk, I need to sleep over it

@Zashy120 Honestly, I would’ve been cool if it was a 7-15 minute match that led to this moment. I really liked that first segment. And I think this was a good result. But I ain’t squashing MJF’s reign like that. It’s like kicking a field goal at the goal line after a great 98 yard drive.

@RossIsClutch Im happy for Darby. He deserves it. In fact, even the set up was beautiful. The only problem with it. I wouldn’t make it a squash match. Especially in the main event that has been built up all night.
