Decided to try doing ONE run in Marathon today, trying to finish a MIDA contract, the one run i try going packing heat the game decides to troll me and spawn me the other side of the map. Ended up getting the nades but the AI Uplink basement was full of tick nests that got me.

@Zakon_BY How much racing is in the story mode? Is it like GRID Legends?

Finished SCREAMER that was alot and I really loved it, it was alot of fluff from the start but closer it gets to the finish line the bonkers (yes) it gets, maybe too much dialogues, sure, but you always can skip them and many things are optional, still really liked it. 7,5

@isolatedrook Yeah yeah, my current Sekiguchi contract wants me to go to Maintenance, hack a thing, get ambushed by a squad of UESC bots and a commander, and then go to Bio Research finish the job. But the game keeps spawning me either near Bio Research or Complex or Greenhouses...

5th spawn in a row on Dire Marsh. The game knows where you want to go and you can't convince me otherwise. This spawn is even kind of mild compared to most.

@JeffHerc @MarathonArchive Fun fact. There's 100% always a lockbox room on Perimeter. It just swaps locations each time. It could be any of the named locations. Just look for the smoke!

@BrunoLouviers I tried crew fill a couple times, people just rush straight forward into PvP which makes it hard to complete contracts. But then, a lot of contracts seems to be tailored for trios because you are just running around in opposite POI and hacking stuff and getting ambushed by bots.

I'm terrible at playing Marathon solo lmao

Presumably the addition of Night Marsh next season will come with new Priority Contracts, right? They might help to speed up progression in that awkward period between Faction ranks 15-20

@Jbandos Last night I saw a runner and decided to chase them. They enter a room plants a claymore at the door, I didn't see on time and tried running away from damage but it hit me. Next thing I know dude slides out the room shooting at me like some Hardboiled move. 10/10

Marathon may be the first PVP game I’ve played where I’ve been like “you know what? Hell yeah” when I get killed by another player

@MathRockSucked For me, the craziest part is that some of these maps like Outpost and Cryo feel like a whole game within themselves, it's very nice. But also very hard to learn how to navigate Outpost when every corner you can get jump scared by another player. But it's fun.

this part here is a sentiment i want to echo. i think Marathon tells a brilliant story through contracts/environment, but i also feel like a lot of people are afraid to try a pvp-centred game and love a story told through a campaign, def think it would bring in a larger audience

I need a new game to replace Marathon, i'm tired of dying every match and saying "Nah, one more run so i can finish this contract" and wasting 6 hours at it.

@NiftyN00b @MarathonDevTeam Also his boosted movement being tied to heat meanwhile Vandal is an ability with cool down. It's like the Thief with the drone which should have been a Recon drone scout.

I hate that Destroyer is better than Vandal in everyway for combat movement, The class is basically useless for combat effectiveness comparatively. @MarathonDevTeam please rework Vandal it's insane that we can't shoot while sliding but you have Destroyer able to slide and dash while shooting. Make it balanced or make it make sense. #marathon
