How often are we prescribing HF meds that patients can't take due to💵? If a GDMT rx falls into the EMR and no pt is around to afford it, does it even improve ❤️mortality? No! So proud of my @uclaimchiefs co-Firm E residents @NealDixit and @katieptr for studying this!

I precepted @skinnyfatPhD in primary care clinic yesterday and learned about his 🧬 discovery today! He elucidated how humans could make metabolically active brown fat. Mirabegron at (probably prohibitively) high doses burns 200ish calories per day using this science. Incredible!
