@brumrosie I agree with a lot of what has been said. Less time wasted on things other than teaching, but the students have lost out hugely. Non-engagement, mediocre work, lack of progress and obviously just social interaction. I can’t wait to go back.

An insight into English marking: how on earth is “confidently uses a range of punctuation accurately” different to “uses a range of punctuation accurately”? How do you measure the degree of confidence with which the writer has used a full stop or semi-colon? Give me strength..

I’ve just been told by our Head of Physics that if you hold ‘ctrl F’ within a class Microsoft class ‘Team’ and type in a student name you can see all their contributions in the chat function of any lesson to check participation. Seriously helpful.

@Ms_H_2 I am on my second lot of self isolation. Had Covid about five weeks ago and then Test a& Trace messaged me again on Sunday. You can not contact anyone if you think it’s a mistake, which I do. You just have to do as you’re told! No possible way to complain or feedback 🤷🏻‍♀️

@JjPerri I got a copy of Proud from @appyvalleypride, opened it yesterday & finished it today, had me gripped. Showed the range of experiences young lgbt people can have & the importance of acceptance. I'll be recommending it to libraries in my organisation.
