@miranda_vet @NuffieldFarming That’s good. Our industry is starting to think about an IPM strategy for a pathogen here that we have no controls for: chem, genetic, agronomic. But we know when we get something it’s going to be delicate. It’s interesting to think about it in other systems.

@JodiSouter @NuffieldFarming Luckily breeding is not the only way farmers can combat parasites. As per my report there are a myriad of different ways to change selection pressures. And as we discussed on the panel the more traits you select for the less advancement, and that goes for worms also!

Plant breeders need to be recognized producer.com/opinion/plant-… There is tremendous potential for plant breeding efforts to help us remain productive in the face of a changing environment. It doesn't come without investment 🤷Breeders need an incentive to innovate.
