@abysmaldogwater I'd argue MJ is in a worse spot. Felicia doesn't need to be forced with dumb gimmicks to be kept away from ASM. Marvel literally turned MJ into the polar opposite of who she is solely to kick her out of Peter's life and she's become a worse character in every possible way for it.

The inability to commit to her as a serious love interest to Spider-Man in modern comics, coupled with the fact her own mythos was kinda snuffed out so she could float in and out of ASM puts her in one of the worst spots of any Marvel heroine

@abysmaldogwater MJ is the best civilian character in comics who also became the most famous hero's soulmate. The two are not mutually exclusive. The "agency" arguments feel dishonest because Marvel has spent the past 4 years turning MJ into something she isn't solely to separate her from Peter.

It stands to reason that a love interest's role would primarily revolve around her relationship with the protagonist, it doesn't mean she has no life of her own.

Especially on LoCG. And sometimes I wonder if I did go too far. Maybe it's time to move past this because its so not worth the headaches.
