The players deserved a send off after the season they've given us and the football they've played but couldn't because the cretins in the away end. Never mind then loss in money, give them the top tier only from now on.

Can't fail to sell out the allocation 99% of the time then suddenly expect more because your teams won a few games. If they had regularly sold that allocation out then thats different

@gus_tawse England will never take them sadly. The best solution would for them just to be in a league the pair of them. Play each other 19 times home and away, that’s all they really care about anyway. We’d be better off without them 👍🏼

Be careful we have had a mm of #snow in the uk Be careful today #snow It snowed last night... 8:00 am: I made a snowman. 8:10 - A feminist passed by and asked me why I didn't make a snow woman. 8:15 - So, I made a snow woman. 8:17 - My feminist neighbor complained about the snow woman's voluptuous chest saying it objectified snow women everywhere. 8:20 - The gay couple living nearby threw a hissy fit and moaned it could have been two snow men instead. 8:22 - The transgender man..women...person asked why I didn't just make one snow person with detachable parts. 8:25 - The vegans at the end of the lane complained about the carrot nose, as veggies are food and not to decorate snow figures with. 8:28 - I was being called a racist because the snow couple is white. 8:31 - The middle eastern gent across the road demanded the snow woman be covered up . 8:40 - The Police arrived saying someone had been offended. 8:42 - The feminist neighbor complained again that the broomstick of the snow woman needed to be removed because it depicted women in a domestic role. 8:43 - The council equality officer arrived and threatened me with eviction. 8:45 - TV news crew from BBC showed up. I was asked if I know the difference between snowmen and snow-women? I replied "Snowballs" and am now called a sexist. 9:00 - I was on the News as a suspected terrorist, racist, homophobe sensibility offender, bent on stirring up trouble during difficult weather. 9:10 - I was asked if I have any accomplices. My children were taken by social services. 9:29 - Far left protesters offended by everything marched down the street demanding for me to be arrested. By noon it all melted Moral: There is no moral to this story. It is what we have become, all because of snowflakes

@FarvaRangers You’re a dreamer. The income would help and eventually they would probably be top 12 and occasionally better. But they’d never win it for same reason Newcastle will struggle. The top players don’t want to live up here due to the weather. They will go to London, cheshire etc

I actually fucking despise the arrogance of English football fans, and their sheer inability to understand the size of the clubs in Scotland. Only Man Utd and Liverpool would likely be able to challenge the Old Firm in terms of club size.

@dutts_87 @HLTCO That’s without doubt the way to solve it. Could be worse mate. In Scotland they allow the European teams to enter at the last 16 as seeds. Then the duopoly up here win 95 per cent of trophies sadly. They just pander to the bigger clubs

@HLTCO I’ve always felt that teams who compete in European competitions shouldn’t be in the League Cup. It would reduce the fixture congestion they’re always moaning about, would provide a route into Europe for a smaller club, and you’d have a different winner each year.

I didn’t expect to get through last night at Arsenal, you never do when you go to play the big boys on their turf but I have to say, the ever-decreasing chances of us getting to lift a trophy do leave me feeling pretty flat. Since the 2012-13 season when Wigan lifted the FA Cup and Swansea beat Bradford in the League Cup Final, we’ve had 22 domestic trophy winners split like this. Man City: 8 (2 FA Cups + 6 League Cups) Arsenal: 4 (4 FA Cups) Man Utd: 4 (2 FA Cups + 2 League Cups) Liverpool: 3 (1 FA Cup + 2 League Cups) Chelsea: 2 (1 FA Cup + 1 League Cup) Leicester: 1 (FA Cup) We’re 119 years old, (I don’t buy into all the 1861 stuff) and have never won a “major” trophy, we’ve been in a couple of finals and had leads in both of them but every year that passes leaves me feeling as though the chance of us eventually getting our hands on silverware is constantly diminishing. I know people scoff at the League Cup, call it “tinpot”etc etc but I would love nothing more than to see my team lift it. I’ll keep the faith as without it, football fandom is pretty much a pointless exercise but based on the last 11 years, you do start to feel as though Morgan Freeman’s line in The Shawshank Redemption “Hope can drive a man insane” is one of the most pertinent things ever said.
