@jonnybid Really good question. Think teachers need to be strong and have the confidence to come away where necessary. All good leaders will explore and support this and then refer back to scheme if needs. The phrase ‘fidelity to the scheme’ troubles me in reference to foundation topics…

The primary curriculum has increasingly become something that schools subscribe to and teachers download and click through. It clearly saves a lot of time but does it mean that some teachers are no longer planning for the needs of their class? Not taking a view, just asking.

Been looking at The Highwayman with my Y6s so decided to watch a bit of Adam Ant. Over heard a child say ‘I like it but I just don’t get why he’s singing “Stand in the River.” It doesn’t make sense’ and now I can’t listen to that song properly… 🤦🏼‍♂️ #teaching
