@stutterverse @Justconfront My initial impression is that it is a really important (although painful/uncomfortable) read for all SLTs working with people who stammer

This was one of my favorite interviews I've ever done. It's very hard and even anguishing for me to listen back to podcasts I've been on, but this conversation really meant a lot to me. I hope you'll give it a listen.
Steve Silberman@stevesilberman

.@JohnGHendy's just-published "Life on Delay," on #stuttering, is one of the best books on #disability I've ever read. Brilliant new interview with @MileHighStash, hosted by Adam Perry, in which they discuss their stuttering journeys. PodFollow.com/Mile-High-Stash

For my first book, I used notecards and journals to build a manuscript. For my second project, I needed a better way to capture the wide-ranging 'material' for when it comes time to write. I highly recommend @fortelabs's methodical approach to creating value for others 🙏

looking for recommendations of literature surrounding #stammering that uses a #socialmodel perspective. so many of avaliable articles and handbooks are 20+ years old and heavily medical model 🙄 #SLT #SLT2be

It important to share stories of success & failure. Normalising failure helps as we all have setbacks. Although I wasn’t the successful applicant, I wish the successful person all the best & believe everything will work out. I’ll be exploring different lines of work in 2023✌️3/3

So over the weekend, I was fortunate to work with @ElizabethMRG79, a wonderful friend and colleague (& amazing SLT) with running Clever Kids Camp. Just before camp, I got the news that I wasn’t successful for a part time permanent role I applied for in higher education. 1/3
