The Fable of the Farmer and the Snake. A farmer one day walking through his fields came upon a snake. It was badly wounded from an attack and dying. The farmer carefully took him home and spent 3 months caring and nursing the snake back to health. Finally the day came and the snake was fully healed , so the farmer took him out to release him into the wild. As the farmer sat the snake down in the field the snake reared back and bit him releasing his poison into the farmer. The farmer screamed “ why have you done this ,I gave you love and care.. and now you have bitten me and I will surly die?!” The snake replied “ahh but you knew I was snake all along.”

If there was an imminent threat from Iran, Tulsi’s answer would have been: yes. It’s as simple as that.
