@KDxGP I'm guessing you are running single material currently, but did you have a test run with a dual filament petg for the rigid parts and an interlocked tpu for the gasket/ maeting surfaces?

@g7pc5rsr67 I find if you go to tight, the restriction gets quite uncomfortable when you're aming for max size, meaning being in your pump for hours. I could start smaller than the 70mm I've chosen, but after 3-4h even the 70mm are not 100% comfortable.

@KDxGP This is exactly what I’m looking for. A tight opening with plenty of room to grow. I’ve outgrown my modified flower vase that has a 2.5” flared opening. Something in that size range that can split would be so awesome.

That's also my estimate. That's why I want to make a manual on how to make them so that everybody can replace them with some basic cheap tools (knife + hole punch). As the two half are screwed together there will also be wear on the threads and screw holes. Atm I have no idea of how long they might last

@KDxGP Depending on what is used I would say gaskets will last a decent while but l found with the monster tube gaskets only lasted about 6-12 months at most but very different.

@13VonAllen13 Still a bit of work to do. I still need to make a manual on how to use it and especially on how to replace the gaskets. Also I have no idea of the longevity of it at the moment. It is subjected to wear, but I don't have any good idea when and what needs to be serviced.

@gijoejw @TitanInTraining It's designed in a way that any size should be possible. I have only build with a 150mm cylinder so far. Next up is building one with 180mm to see if all tolerances still work when scaled.

@TitanInTraining There's still some work to do. Biggest thing is to validate if the design scales to any arbitrary size. Currently I've only made one. I don't see atm why it shouldn't but you never know until you try.

@GuidBrz @MesseBear I'm aware it exists and bambu is currently I would say the leader when it comes to price/performance. I never looked into that model as I'm way past open frame bedslingers for what I do.
