Recently had what I would consider just a normal conversation with someone and later that day was told that I "really talked me off a ledge". I had no idea this person was on a ledge, I could sense they were upset and rightfully so given the circumstances. Sometimes we just do not know what is going on in someone's head, what they are thinking and feeling. They may hide their pain or feelings outwardly and give no indication of that is happening inside. I have to say I was angry with this person, and had already in my mind formed my words I would use when we met. I let my anger go and treated this person with love and kindness, changing the course of that day. We all too quickly judge, ridicule and condemn others before ever knowing the circumstances. Had I unleashed my anger on this young man I now know that it would have had a profound impact on both of us and the ripples from my actions would have touched many. Before you get angry with someone or something, ask yourself, is this righteous anger or just raw emotions without thought.
