‘Retaliatory’ taxes on imports (read: tariffs) are just as stupid as ‘retaliatory’ taxes on incomes.
Ottawa doesn’t need Washington or Beijing to agree to stop forcing Canadians to pay more.
We should cut the tariffs, abolish the quotas and free the trade we can.
