After a District Judge ruled in 2023 that Georgia’s congressional map violated the Voting Rights Act, Governor Kemp immediately called a special session to ADD a new Black-majority congressional district in Atlanta. “The court ruled; Georgia will redraw.” Governor Kemp jumps into action when it harms Republicans and delays to act when it helps.
