Sonia Sotomayor lives in the U Street NW neighborhood of DC, which is 64% White.
Ketanji Brown Jackson lives in the Friendship Heights neighborhood of DC, which is 72% White.
Today both accused Trump of being racist for not wanting unlimited refugees from majority Black countries.
Why didn’t Sonia and Ketanji buy homes in majority Black neighborhoods?

@KevinKileyCA Why does it have to be an submitted for the receipts? Anything that uses any part of tax money should be fully disclosed on the State’s website for all to review.

The head of High-Speed Rail tried to control the questions that could be asked in an interview. Meanwhile, Newsom is backing legislation to shield the project from public record requests. Perhaps this is because the estimated cost just grew to an astonishing $231 billion.

NEW: We were hoping to interview California High-Speed Rail CEO Ian Choudri today about issues with his business plan, but it’s not happening. He wanted to limit what we ask, banning questions about issues that came up about him in February. We would not agree to those terms.

@SulligentHUB A question about RB’s in general and people bagging in Shannahan because of the misses. If taking a first round RB is bad value when are you supposed to drafr one? Late second early third?
English

People do need some context to this. His receiving ability - or questions about it, is the 1st, 2nd and 3rd reasons why Kaelon Black was considered a reach. It's not his skill as a RB. Evals pinned him as only a 1st and 2nd down back. IF...IF a team felt he had the receiving ability traits to be an every down back, the running ability put him squarely in the top 5 of RB's in this class.

so @JohnLynch49ers said they fell in love with Kaelon Black at the senior bowl and his 1v1's in the pass game. Here's what they fell in love with. Included some other backs in the bag drills for comparison.

@BreitbartNews Talking like a man who knows that he is only in Congress because if illegal voting
English

@SulligentHUB Black is all good at pass blocking right? So another plus for any Shannahan RB.
English

@SulligentHUB Sure injuries were a part of it but even early not sure he was best option in the second which was your first pick. Would he have been a good starter if healthy? I am not sure but I also am not smart or paid to know that stuff
English

@KenageShadow Drake Jackson was 2022.....
Also, he turned out to be a bad pick -why? The why is important.

"The 49ers 2021 draft was awful!"
I've seen this get lumped in with 2022 and 2023.
The Trey Lance pick was turrible. Bad. Awful.
Outside of that, they picked Aaron Banks who left and was paid top-5 guard money - at the time. Talanoa Hufanga left after being an all-pro and was signed as a top-10 paid safety, at the time.
Deommodore Lenoir was given a big 2nd contract by the organization - one many of the same people lauded at the time because they finally got ahead of a contract negotiation and signing for value.
3 big-time 2nd contract guys picked in the 2nd, 5th and 5th rounds - all players who contributed big-time significant snaps on a team that went to 2 NFCCG's and a SB while they were playing.
2 were let go, not because of lack of talent, but because there were too many mouths to feed because the team had so much talent. Let's not revisionist this stuff.
English

@SulligentHUB The issue of looking at the 22 & 23 drafts is they were heavily compromised by the Lance & CMC moves
English

@jim_desmond We need term limits to get these losers out of Sacramento
English

We have the highest gas taxes in America.
Some of the worst roads in America.
A $35 billion structural state deficit.
1.4 million Californians have left for other states since 2020.
This is what happens when one party runs everything for a decade. California needs balance. California needs accountability. California needs a real exchange of ideas before it is too late.
English

@JL_Chapman Also say that “bust” needs to be defined. Some of these guys got second or third contracts in a league where the average is 3 years. Not every pick is going to be an All Pro player people
English

Wasn’t Zach Wilson picked before Trey Lance?
I get it they both are deserving but Lance still got almost double what Wilson is getting this year contract wise.

@Coach_Yac Why Seattle have to use two players that started on other teams? Dont they have RB’s they have drafted?
English

@SulligentHUB I have really liked your comments about the draft so much I followed you. I hope if you get your real account back you post it in this one.
English

@Coach_Yac Also I would keep throwing picks ar RB. Why? You need more then 1 and they say not to use a 1 on them so where else are you taking one? 3rd,4th,5th seems good to me. The eagles took WR how long before they hit on one.

Peter Schrager was asked what are people saying about the 49ers taking several surprising draft picks:
“This happens to be a real discussion in San Francisco media circles right now. Grant Cohn the reporter out there in San Francisco pressed John Lynch on it and said 'no one had Kaelon Black as a day 2 pick' and the 49ers to their point said 'we have our own board, we don’t care about the guys on TV. We don’t care about the consensus. Our consensus is what matters'... De'Zhaun Stribling and Kaelon Black are the big areas where Niners fans are saying 'why?'”

English

@Coach_Yac Like Schrager in general but come on man. Using Cohn as a source is just garbage and using it for bait. You have hits and misses and I just hope we get some hits from this class and last years. We had less top picks because of Lance & CMC.
English

@MattHarmon_BYB Would you have taken Boston for them at the pick Matt?
English

@Coach_Yac And Boston (who I also liked) is a big slower guy. I think they liked conception more but he was gone and he was the number two option for them. We shall see what he becomes and see how Boston does in Cleveland
English

Brian Baldinger on the 49ers taking De'Zhaun Stribling at pick 33 in the NFL Draft:
“It was a little confusing. To trade down twice the way John Lynch did and take De'Zhaun Stribling— I don’t think anybody thought that was gonna be their guy. There were a lot of choices at WR, but I don’t know if anybody had De'Zhaun going there.
He’s a big, fast guy who played a lot of college football, and we know that. We’ll see how quickly he can adapt and become a starter. To trade down twice, to have the whole night to think about it, to have the first pick in the second round and you come out with that? I think that was pretty much a shock to everybody.”
FWIW Baldy does say he likes the player but taken too early
via: @957thegame

English

@Coach_Yac It sems apparent that with all the talk of “consensus boards” that they did not trade down because they believed a team just after them were interested in him.
English

Albert Breer says several top level offensive coordinators around the league are high on De'Zhaun Stribling:
“The 49ers got killed for taking Ole Miss WR De'Zhaun Stribling at 33, and I get it. When fans have been looking at mocks for two months, and their team picks someone perceived as a reach, it normally drives them crazy. I’d just say this on Stribling, some really good offensive coaches really liked him, more than the public knows. We’ll see how it plays out.”

English

@Coach_Yac After draft would be more interested in a vet safety over vet DE
