First time on the @amtrak NextGen Acela. * WiFi is a huge improvement. Way faster and more consistent. * Ride is smoother. * Seats are abysmal. No ‘real’ recline. It slides the seat pad out and my lumbar spine wants a word. Have to keep standing up to minimize how numb my butt is. Will choose non-NextGen going forward solely for this reason. * Cafe Car has the same food but without any seating. Don’t actually mind the no seating but would have been nice to add some more hot food on a brand new train experience. * First looks like coach but with a row of single seats and a meal. Going to try to upgrade the return but looks like a nice miss in terms of not having a gigantic comfy seat up front. What else am I missing?
