@PunishedLu @JacquesSchnee @hama_drnda It shows how hollow these marxist leninist parties really were. Once the union fell their opportunism really showed and they all practically became social democrats. Politicians are really the same wherever you go

@HarukiNiklas @laurinl489 @dreiceratops yea alright, fair point. i still think its useless when there is no substance behind the words. especially this guy who is big streamer. i say go big or go home in my philosophy

@KevinKidzlayer @laurinl489 @dreiceratops get repeated publicly. It doesn’t replace real activism, but it can complement it in small ways. You can disagree with that, but it’s unfair to attack someone just because you doubt their intentions. Thats my point.

She DOES criticize her own privilege. You don't know this because you didn't read it and are only learning about it through assumption and Twitter rumor. You hate it because you desperately WANT to hate it to validate your biases, not because you actually know anything about it.

This being set in Iran-Iraq war is what’s killing me. Her countrymen getting gassed, and getting chemicals tested on them while she attends grad school for free, and the plot goes no further than “these subhuman ghost like figures in veil won’t let me wear punk is not dead!!” lol

@HarukiNiklas @laurinl489 @dreiceratops the big problem here is that 8th of may has lost the real power it used to have. nowadays its treated like halloween or christmas in the west while it used to honor the critical role of women in the class struggle and it fucking sucks dude

@KevinKidzlayer @laurinl489 @dreiceratops I think you’re mixing two different criticisms. A celebrity being hypocritical about labor practices is a valid issue, but that doesn’t erase the cultural impact of publicly supporting equality. Social norms shift when influential people make certain values visible and socially

@HarukiNiklas @laurinl489 @dreiceratops i dont agree with this at all. the entire reason women even have rights or suffrage to the degree they have today is because regular people fought for it. the real effect made by virtue signals from influencers is negligible.

@HarukiNiklas @laurinl489 @dreiceratops if i make a comparison with beyonce, will that make you see my point? beyonce for example props up herself as a feminist and advocates for empowerment while oppressing working class women abroad, often children.i would like to go on but space is so limited,dm if u need me to go on

@KevinKidzlayer @laurinl489 @dreiceratops But neme isn't walmart or some super big company? He is just a normal dude like 99% of us. Even if it’s performative, normalizing support in front of millions still pushes the culture in a better direction.

@ae86xtrueno @laurinl489 @dreiceratops i think streamers and brands who do that stuff are performative but most people i think care in some capacity. but the meaning of this day has been reduced to just token platitudes though so maybe you are right.

@peepoopaapaa @laurinl489 @dreiceratops 8th of march shouldnt be treated like halloween, just saying happy womens day honestly means nothing. its too substanceless, 8th of march was after all a revolutionary movement by working class women. the way it is treated today would probably make us forget that. should i go on?

@dedsv16 @laurinl489 @dreiceratops walmarts current policies dont mean anything. token platitudes only because its currently profitable. if that changes so does their attitude. reminds me of beyonce talking of womens rights while employing little girls in horrid conditions

@Minami_9109 @laurinl489 @dreiceratops no i dont mean that, just that in this case there is no substance behind it. international womens day has been reduced to something like halloween in western countries.

Eftersom kvinnor saknade rösträtt i allmänna riksdagsval i nästan 60 år kunde det kompenseras med en lika lång period då män saknar rösträtt. Så vi får ordning på det här jävla landet.
