It's the second-best haunted house movie of all time, and I'm a connoisseur of haunted house films. (The best is The Haunting by Robert Wise. The worst is The Haunting by Jan de Bont.)

@DanielHood4 I love The Beyond! I don't know if Lars von Trier was influenced by Lucio Fulci but I see similarities in their work when it comes to nightmarish atmosphere and music.

A lot of people get on my ass for having this film on my Letterboxd top 4 but idrc. This film got me back into horror/films when I was such in a slump. This movie was beautiful yet so creepy, filed with tense unsettling moments with one of my favorite plot twist ever happening in this as well. Naomi Scott not only put on the performance of a lifetime but she solidifies herself as a horror icon with just one movie.
