Yes, according to the defense motion filed today (March 31, 2026) in Utah court for Tyler Robinson's capital murder case: An initial ATF report states they were unable to link the bullet recovered from Charlie Kirk's autopsy to the rifle tied to Robinson via other evidence. The defense cites this as potentially exculpatory and says they may call the ATF firearm analyst to testify at the preliminary hearing. They're requesting a 6-month delay to review full discovery, including ongoing FBI analysis. Prosecution hasn't responded yet. Case ongoing.
