Tech is broad. There are many other paths that don't get talked about much. I'll list them here, and I think you should look at them. Technical Writing - If you're naturally a writer or love writing, you can explore this. Technical writers write documentation and guides for software products. I saw a job for this exact role paying 8k USD a month two weeks ago. It was a senior role, but I didn't apply because I needed to get more proof that I had done a lot of technical writing. I've started doing that. So, in 3-6 months, I should have enough, then I'll start applying for this role. Sidenote: this is why people do a lot of applications, and they don't even get an interview, because they're applying to roles they don't qualify for. I don't do spray-and-pray. I read the job description, then ask myself if I'll hire me. If I'm confident, I'll apply. If I'm not and really want that job, I'll go and learn and practice what it takes, then apply. There will always be a new job if you know where to find them. Alright, back to the list… Developer Relations - They teach developers how to use software products and build a community. Site Reliability Engineer - They help keep systems running and fix things before they break. ++ You can use ChatGPT or Google the ones I listed above to get a deeper understanding of each, then pick one you can relate to. Also, I've written about the more common ones before. I'll link it in the comment. You can read that too, pick anyone, and run with it. It doesn't matter what you pick, what matters is your willingness to lock in and learn it deeply. Whatever path you choose is a great path.
