The President of Poland has stripped Zelensky of the Order of the White Eagle — the country’s highest decoration
“I want to emphasize that this decision is not directed against the Ukrainian people. It does not change the strategic direction of Poland’s security policy. We have supported and continue to support Ukraine”, Nawrocki said.
The reason for stripping the award was Zelensky’s decision to name a Ukrainian Armed Forces special unit after “UPA heroes” (the Ukrainian Insurgent Army).
In Poland, UPA fighters are accused of ethnic cleansing of Poles and war crimes.
Zelensky received the Order of the White Eagle in 2023 from former Polish President Andrzej Duda “in recognition of his merits in strengthening relations between Poland and Ukraine, as well as his efforts in security and resilience in defending human rights.”

These countries had western fashion, pop/rock music, etc. for decades before the fall of the wall (unlike NK). There was absolutely no way they could be as isolated as NK.
