Wave mall was established with robust Public Private Partnership Model. This was my brainchild. As Vice Chairman of Jammu Development Authority, I successfully auctioned 39 canals land to construct this mall. Jammu Development Authority is getting committed rental income of Rs. 5 crore per year. Total Rs. 150 crores for entire lease period.

This problem can be solved instantly if government takes a positive approach! JKTDC has prime properties all along NH-44 , right from Qazigund to Jammu—many of which are lying idle and generating little to no revenue! If these assets are transparently auctioned or operated on a robust PPP model and renovated, they can generate substantial revenue for the government and also provide good employment opportunities for our youth! More importantly this will address a key gap by ensuring clean, well-maintained washrooms, hygienic food and standardised traveller facilities all along the highway—given that infrastructure already exists at these locations .. that simply needs modern upgradation! In fact Srinagar too has several beautiful JKTDC properties that can be revived on a PPP model—creating not just revenue, but meaningful employment opportunities for our youth! A balanced approach would work best—bringing in reputed brands like McDonald’s or KFC for consistency, while also encouraging established local restaurateurs to preserve and promote Kashmiri cuisine! What’s needed is transparent bidding, strict service and hygiene standards, regular monitoring and incentives for local employment! With tourism under the leadership of HCM @CM_JnK , @OmarAbdullah sb a focused push in this direction can transform public assets into revenue generating hubs while significantly improving the overall travel experience across J&K! @nasirsogami @ImranNDar @tanvirsadiq @salmanalisagar @ahsanpardesi @jktdcofficial @TourismJKGovt @JandKTourism @JKTDC

Today, I saw a 44 year old lady wheel chair bound, multiple health conditions polio paralysed her long ago.
Her sole care giver is her 80 year old father. He also takes care of his 2 other adult children with muscular dystrophies.
I cant say how I felt, when the old man took out file after file and explained everything to me, while reassuring the daughter so lovingly. I wasnt prepared to see this. Another spectrum of geriatrics I wasnt ready to see yet. Caring for special child to adulthood isnt even something we talk about. #MedTwitter #opdstories

What stands out is the growing imbalance between production and access.
India continues to scale smartphone manufacturing, while devices are getting harder to afford in the mass segment. The sub-₹20K category drives both adoption and volumes.

This romanticisation of “public spaces under flyovers”, needs to STOP, as it’s the biggest health exposure risk.
Children and youth sitting metres away from traffic are inhaling concentrated NOx and PM₂.₅ levels far higher than what city AQI monitors record.
If you want such public spaces, push for ZEV mandates and eliminate tailpipes.

If you truly love your son or daughter and they are above 18, especially if they commute to college or tuition, get them proper driving training twice and buy them an Alto or Celerio/Tiago for their safety.
On Indian roads, the game has slipped from our hands, we need that extra layer of safety more than ever before. No one is coming to save you and your kids.

Very disturbing to watch.
Animal type behaviour but not expected in a civilized society.
We need to reduce interaction with strangers and others,as we don't know what can trigger them.
People without civic sense and no fear of consequences 😞
