KPC is set to begin trading on NSE today. I'm eagerly waiting to see how the market reacts. Are you getting in early or waiting for the dust to settle?

Investor Wealth at the NSE hits new all-time high at KSh 3.194 trillion, after a strong rally led by Safaricom. The market added KSh 63.02 billion in today's session, biggest one-day gain since 16 October 2025, when it rose by KSh 65.40 billion.

The @LawSocietyofKe is in receipt of a Petition seeking to stop the engagement of private practitioners by public entities, and a Court order dated 12th January 2026 granting conservatory orders suspending such engagements. From the onset, we note that not only is this Petition an ill-advised onslaught on the livelihoods of our members, it equally offends the economic rights of Advocates and threatens to cripple a crucial sector in Kenya's economy. We are shocked with the order of the High Court at Nakuru, which ostensibly deprives Advocates across the country of an opportunity to serve the public. The retention of private practitioners by public entities is neither novel nor inconsistent with any law. As a matter of fact, it is well entrenched under Section 17 of the Office of the Attorney General Act and Section 16 of the Office of the County Attorney Act. Further, all procurement of legal services by Public entities is undertaken in strict adherence with the Public Procurement and Assets Disposals Act; and the fees payable towards the same are determined in accordance with the Advocates Remuneration Order and subject to lawful negotiations and assessments. We forewarn that this action and court order threaten to unsettle the entire economical ecosystem which is anchored in the reliance on competent professionals to support the public service. Were this not the case, the entire concept of public procurement of services as we know it, which is the backbone of the Kenyan economy, would be rendered moot. We will be taking immediate action to not only reverse this iniquitous decision, but to also oppose and defeat this onslaught on the legal profession.

H.E Rigathi Gachagua is unapologetically a Kikuyu supremist and a tribalist class A. But he makes a valid point when he calls out leaders from Northern Kenya and tells the truth about them. Hon Rigathi Gachagua is 💯 right when he says (a) Northern Kenya leaders are thieves who steal from their people and invest public funds in Nairobi, (b) Northern Kenyan leaders can't account for about Kshs 1 trillion given to the region since devolution started in 2013. (c) Northern Kenya leaders have not built world class institutions ie schools, hospitals etc and have EATEN CDF money. (d) Northern Kenyans leaders including MCAs are all domiciled in Nairobi and have homes, wives and children only in Nairobi and none in Northern Kenya. Look at Garissa and Marsabit. Where did Kshs 300 billion in devolution money go to? Leaders steal money left, right and centre and nothing happens. Gachagua is playing politics, but when he talks about Northern Kenyan leaders and how they have let down their people he is being truthful and i'm with him 💯.

The government will sell 6.01B Safaricom shares to Vodafone Kenya for KSh204.3B, cutting its stake from 35% to 20%. Vodafone Kenya will hold 55% after the transaction and a parallel internal restructuring. The agreement also transfers future dividend rights to Vodafone for an upfront KSh40.2B payment. Vodafone says it will not pursue a takeover offer. After @AmbokoJH
