Well thats false. The planet has supported life before we had polar ice. We are at the end of an ice age and its expected for the ice to melt. Its understandable we built a world around one temp but the planets non ice age temp is in fact hotter. The planet only cooled down because it got smacked by an asteroid or two. It will be inconvenient but its not certain death if the planet gets warmer. We do have technology to adapt to life on a hotter planet.
