Bob Mueller was one of the finest directors in the history of the FBI, transforming the bureau after 9/11 and saving countless lives. But it was his relentless commitment to the rule of law and his unwavering belief in our bedrock values that made him one of the most respected public servants of our time. Michelle and I send our condolences to Bob’s family, and everyone who knew and admired him.

To be clear, the Republicans who policed all of our speech when Charlie Kirk was killed, & who jump on anyone who doesn’t mourn their heroes correctly, have just opened the door for every liberal & leftist in America to post ‘Good, I’m glad he’s dead” when Trump eventually dies.

Trump and Robert Mueller were born two years apart, both into wealthy families and both with private school upbringings. Trump received five draft deferments during Vietnam and became a parasitic real estate baron. Mueller volunteered for service, graduated from Officer Candidate School and Ranger School, was wounded in combat, and received a Bronze Star w/ Valor for rescuing one of his wounded soldiers under intense enemy fire. And that pretty much crystallizes both the difference between the two and Trump's toxic jealousy toward Mueller.

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. Afroman, best known for his 2000 hit song, “Because I Got High,” won a defamation lawsuit on Thursday filed by seven Ohio sheriff’s deputies. The saga begun over a 2022 raid on Afroman’s home, legal name Joseph Foreman, by the Adams County, Ohio Sheriff’s office. The raid was part of a drug and kidnapping investigation according to the original warrant. Nothing illegal was found in the musician’s home, and no charges were filed. Foreman subsequently alleged that the officers vandalized his home, and stole money. In response to the raid, Foreman released a series music videos featuring his home security footage of the raid. The footage included one notable moment where an officer paused to look at a pastry on Foreman’s kitchen counter. That inspired the most popular song of bunch, ‘Lemon Pound Cake.’ The sheriff’s deputies said they were publicly harassed in the wake of the video series release, and sought nearly $4 million in damages. The case sparked conversations around the constitutional right to free speech and the limits of parody, which Foreman noted in an Instagram video after he emerged victorious, stating, “We did it America! Freedom of speech! Right on!”
