TfL confirms changes to Congestion Charge inc. increase to £18 from Jan 2026 and the potential for annual increases. Sadly missing is the re-introduction of charging in the evenings to deter driving in the CCZ at the time when pedestrians are most out and about in town.

Speed was a factor in over 60% of collisions in Enfield in last 5 yrs. Great to see @EnfieldCouncil introducing new 20mph zones in Edmonton, Palmers Green & Southgate. Crashes fall approx 40% after 20mph zones are introduced. This will save lives! letstalk.enfield.gov.uk/20mph

Thanks so much to you John and colleagues for a brilliant tour of the Royal Docks Corridor. This scheme is vital for not just people in @NewhamLondon but also has big lessons on how to tame main roads and make them much safer, greener and more pleasant places.

Yesterday we launched the Royal Docks corridor. A road built for industry now has wider pavements, separate cycle lanes, new trees, flower beds, new lighting, play equipment & new crossings. Now safer and more welcoming; fit for the fast growing local community & businesses.
