In Arkansas, our airport workforces in NWA and Little Rock are helping collect food donations and gift cards for their TSA teammates who have been working without pay. It's past time for my Democratic colleagues to stop ignoring these dire consequences and do the right thing.

The Democrat DHS shutdown is a national security crisis disguised as a budget fight, and Americans are paying the price. I’ve always opposed government shutdowns. My colleagues need to come to the table, stop the posturing, and reopen DHS. Americans can’t keep waiting.

It’s common sense to require a photo ID to vote—even my Senate Democrat colleagues agree. Today, let’s see if they put their words into action and vote YES on my clean amendment requiring a photo ID at the polls.

If they really think showing an ID is “reasonable,” as the Democrat whip claimed, then they can support this clean photo ID amendment. I look forward to seeing where Democrats really stand.

Voter ID is common sense, and the majority of Americans support it. This afternoon, Democrats will have the chance to show the American people which side they are on.

When it comes to funding DHS, Democrats are moving the goalposts every day. They are playing politics and using the American people as pawns. This needs to stop. We need to fund DHS.

As a steadfast advocate for the year-round sale of E15 fuel, I appreciate the Trump administration’s decision today to allow the summertime sale of E15 across our nation. A permanent legislative solution to permit year-round E15 must remain a top priority.

Democrats are going to have another chance tomorrow to support election integrity by implementing a commonsense photo ID requirement. Will they stand with Americans? Or will they continue to oppose any meaningful ID requirement at the polls?

Democrats have an easy-to-understand proposal before them – the latest serious offer from Republicans to get DHS back up and running. They have repeatedly said that they want to pay TSA, Coast Guard, FEMA, and employees who defend America from cyberattacks. This bill would do it.

Every senator will soon be on the record with an up-or-down vote so the American people can know exactly where they stand on voter ID. I don’t know how Democrats will be able to explain being against commonsense voter ID requirements, but I can’t wait to hear them try.

Today is day 39 of Democrats’ DHS shutdown. Tens of thousands of TSA employees are working without pay, our nation’s airports are under significant strain, and it’s only going to get worse from here. Democrats’ political games must stop.

The SAVE America Act debate has made one thing crystal clear: Democrats’ rhetoric is completely out of step with what most Americans support. Providing proof of citizenship and showing a photo ID to vote is just common sense.

Markwayne Mullin brings unmatched energy, grit, and heart to everything he does, and DHS will be no different. The Senate will miss him, but the country will be better for it.
