The thing you were asking for evidence of is not what occurs. Furthermore, it does not have to be done in either place because new revelation can be given. Additionally, the lack of mention does not mean it did not take place, it just means it was not documented. Heck, it could have been in the sealed portion.

Thank God for temples, so that Martin Luther could receive his exaltation. And he has. "Two weeks before I left St. George, the spirits of the dead gathered around me, wanting to know why we did not redeem them. Said they, “You have had the use of the Endowment House for a number of years, and yet nothing has ever been done for us...I straightway went into the baptismal font and called upon Brother McCallister to baptize me for the signers of the Declaration of Independence, and fifty other eminent men, making one hundred in all, including John Wesley, Columbus, and others..." - Wilford Woodruff Martin Luther was one of those others.

Agency began in our premortal life. God presented a plan, and we chose to come to earth to participate in it. Satan wants you to believe otherwise.

@LLeifV But too bad, of course, for Africans or people who were born and died never hearing of Jesus, whose names are forgotten to history so they will never be baptized by name by proxy by a Mormon in a temple, right?

Today, the beautiful doors of the Salt Lake Temple were installed. This temple and the temples around the world are meaningful to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because when we enter through these doors, we enter the house of the Lord. There is no place on earth in which we are closer to Him. There is something profoundly symbolic about stepping into the Lord’s holy house. In doing so, we leave behind the noise and burdens of a troubled world and enter a place of peace, light, and divine love. Within the holy walls of the temple, we make promises that connect us to our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. As we leave the temple, we walk through these doors strengthened and renewed. We feel a sense of purpose and gratitude. And we carry with us a deeper sense of God’s love for us. The joyful sacredness and importance of the temple can be taught to and felt by the youngest of God’s children. Holiness to the Lord is not just a text on the outside of the temple, it is a condition of life promised by Heavenly Father that can be felt anywhere, at any time. #TempleDoors

I love how evangelicals assume we just haven't studied our history at all. I've studied the history of the Church plenty, and continue to strive and work to learn more. I know from my study that this is the Church of the Living God.

Your cult is less then 200 years old and was started by a liar and a con man. Just because your cult is using the name of Jesus to deceive, doesn’t mean it’s true. I suggest you look into your cult’s history.

@LLeifV @BowieTheus Where are the Freemason fraternity rituals performed in the Temple mentioned on the New Testament or the Book of Mormon? The secret handshakes and tokens are an important function in the LDS temple.

What a remarkable and inspiring weekend we had at the Seminar for New Mission Leaders. We were blessed to hear from President Dallin H. Oaks, who shared that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will soon have more missionaries serving than ever before. Missionary service is especially dear to me. From my own mission as a young man, to serving with Melanie as mission leaders of the New York New York North Mission, to my current service on the Church’s Missionary Executive Council, I have witnessed the miracles of this work. I love missionaries and I love this calling. I hope that you will see and feel the majesty of this moment that is happening right before our very eyes. To the 87,000 missionaries currently serving and those preparing to serve: you are serving in one of the most remarkable times in the history of God’s work. You have the privilege of representing the Lord Jesus Christ during a season of growth that fills us with wonder and awe. Count yourself blessed—called for such a time as this. I feel that we are only scratching the surface of what the Lord has in store for us as He prepares the world for His second coming. As we go forth from to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to all the world, I firmly believe that the best is yet to come.

@capitolhillcath I'm not sure if Joseph Smith was married to multiple women. I know he was sealed to many, often in a "eternity only" sense because the doctrine had not yet developed entirely.

@LLeifV "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths." - 2 Tim 4:3-4.

The reason people revile against members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is that we worship the Only True God, and Jesus Christ, whom He has sent. We are not of the world, because we have accepted the adoption of Christ and taken His name upon us, and speak with the tongues of angels. So don't marvel when those we would expect to be our brethren revile against us. We are only experiencing the treatment of the Apostles by the pharisees.

I wouldn't say I believe the Father had a Father simply because I haven't received a confirmation of it when I have asked for an answer. I also wouldn't say I don't think He does because I haven't received a no. As far as some of the other statements, multiple things can be true at once. We can move on to relative autonomy while still glorifying the Father. Our autonomy would be to glorify Him. Any work we do, and that our children do, and their children do, and so on, glorifies the Father. The work our children do would glorify us, thus glorifying the Father, etc. I'm sure the mysteries of Eternity will shock most people, and we'll all be at least a little right.

Majority of LDS believe this, but it’s not what Joseph taught. Am I wrong? “God is eternal and unbegun. He did not climb to divinity from a mortal past, and there is no chain of gods behind Him. He is embodied, personal, and real, but His body was always His and was never earned. Beside Him stands a Heavenly Mother who is coeternal and coequal, divine in her own right and not by promotion. The Godhead is one not because it is a single substance but because the Father is its source and fountainhead. Father, Mother, Son, and Spirit are one Family, perfectly united, sourced in the Father. This is monotheism by kinship rather than by mathematics. One God, because one household, one origin, one will. The destiny of humanity is to be gathered into that Family. We are the literal offspring of Heavenly Parents, and through the atonement of Christ and the ordinances of the temple we become partakers of the divine nature. This is real deification, the full weight of “as God now is, man may become.” But it is participation, not secession. The exalted do not depart to found their own pantheons. They are adopted into the one Family and share its life forever. Sealing stands untouched. Eternal families are real. Eternal increase is real, but it is branches multiplying on a single living vine, not seeds scattered to grow rival gods. The whole promise is kept. Only two things are dropped: the regress behind God, and the autonomy in front of man.” Ask a Mormon today whether God has a God above him. Whether there is a chain of fathers stretching back into the dark. You will rarely get Joseph’s answer. You will get a shrug. That is speculative, they say. We do not really focus on that. That shrug is the whole story. It is not a defense of the King Follett sermon. It is a quiet burial of it.
