@klausenhauser Apoferritin at 6Å from cryo-Ptychography (Berk Kucukoglu), and at 1.09Å (!!!) from plain cryo-EM (Alex Myasnikov and his amazing team at the DCI-Lausanne.org). Collaboration with Colin Ophus, Carsten Sachse and Knut Müller-Caspary.

The future of biology may be cryo-ptychography, the technique with the highest resolution currently in materials science at the picometre level. Potentially with a log fold less particles than currently, just a few 10s of k particles.

@SjorsScheres @SjorsScheres, we are deeply sorry for missing the references. The RELION and other references had been in the Word manuscript in an earlier version, but got lost during cycles of multi-author editing. We will do better next time, and correct this still if we occasion arrises.

The first CryoWriter prototype has arrived, from CryoWrite.ch. Cryo-EM grids from nanoliters of sample, vitrified at ultrafast speed, here setup in a BSL-2 facility. We are so much looking forward to playing with this amazing tool.
