@sydney_ev @PeterJ24805519 Keyword there is "endless". The only reason I added the PL company structure to what is basically a federal govt project was to provide a sunset mechanism. This is not original from me - it is basically China's preferred mechanism. Establish via govt funding then privatise ASAP.

@PeterJ24805519 @LanderPeterjohn most renewable developments are private companies, and have a large customer base.. small rural towns of 50 people or less, is not a large customer base. and for private company, is not a worthy investment. so we the taxpayer are now funding endless diesel use and maintenance

@PeterJ24805519 @sydney_ev A longer answer There are two kinds of ongoing maintenance needed. The Pty Ltd company pays the roadhouse owner for the part time work to keep the station presentable and functional. The PL company contracts out turbine maintenance.
