@GaryLineker@a_webb@secrettory12 Bravo Gary!
This is an inhumane policy by people who are interested in looking out for their own positions. "I'm alright Jack" was the phraseology in use , say, 40-50 years ago.
@a_webb@secrettory12 There is no huge influx. We take far fewer refugees than other major European countries. This is just an immeasurably cruel policy directed at the most vulnerable people in language that is not dissimilar to that used by Germany in the 30s, and I’m out of order?
What a terrible decision by the BBC to interview Nigel Farage over the Manston migrant centre.
What the hell does he have to offer in this debate?
This is the time for a serious discussion on the impact of the Tory’s cruel immigration policies. Not more myths and scapegoating.
@Olrusty_uk@Centurion883 Exactly! How is it humane to compound the agony of people trying escape one regime of terror (as in Amin's Uganda) and ship them thousands of miles (look at the map) into the welcoming arms of another regime - whose leadership is questionable at best?
@Centurion883 Like when Priti Patel's family escaped Idi Amin? So, refugees escaping war in the Middle East see the UK as a haven, a place to escape to. Priti Patel's family in Uganda were able to come here too, to escape Idi Amin's regime. People have short memories!
Sending refugees arriving in Britain to offshore camps in Rwanda is inhumane and cruel. The government must drop this plan immediately. Sign the petition: r.ippl.es/camps/

For fu*k sake.
For fu*ks sake.
For fu*k’s sake (should f be uppercase?)
Yup, we’ve been locked down for way too long. Mercis.
@TimHailstone I guess the closest I came to seeing “the Mysterious Lady in Red” was the occasional meal or drink at THE BEAR in Bearsville - where Albert Grossman nodded at me (or I think he nodded, probably my eager enthusiasm) - excellent - after Mary Ellen & Geoffrey moved to Woodstock.
@burndrs@tribelaw@RandPaul This is a straightforward tidy summation of the issue questioning whether or not Trump can/should face trial. Of course he should. He committed a crime and encouraged others to commit crimes. Now he must face trial.
@tribelaw@RandPaul Rand Paul‘s position was he couldn’t be impeached because he wasn’t president anymore. However he was impeached by the house while he was president this is just the trial. When someone commits a crime they get arrested/ charged then go to trial sometimes years later.
The position taken by @RandPaul & 44 other Senators would give all future presidents two weeks at the end of their term in office to go on a crime spree without ever having to face the consequences in a Senate disqualification trial. That’s a formula for destroying our republic!!
