A lot of the people defending the slide cancel in Marathon do not seem to understand that these exploits CANNOT exist in an Extraction Shooter. What makes an Extraction Shooter so enticing is the risk/reward. When you die, you LOSE something. And that's lost forever.

Fuck man, I love @MarathonTheGame so much. The thrills are all there, the feeling of reward for my time. When I die it doesn’t feel like the end of the world and that I’ll never be able to recover. @Bungie fucking did it.

@Relaxed008 Trios for the team fights & solo for mats farming & quest progression with the exception for runner kills. I can lvl up my factions and gather shit much faster on my own. Pvp in solos is very slow and everyone is ratting. I know ppl rat in trios also but it's far worse in solo.

What way do you guys prefer to play Marathon: Squad or Solo? For me trios are a lot more enjoyable, but I have heard people rave about the solo experience being great as well.

After one week. How do you feel about Bungie's Marathon?

The vitriolic hate surrounding this game **ONLINE** (because everyone I’ve talked to irl seem to enjoy the game or think it’s neat) coming from a small, vocal group of people seems so strange to me…

To the rook who managed to shut us down on a veeeey lucrative Outpost run. That was it, the final straw for any goodness I had in my body and the slight empathy I had for rooks trying their best out there. The time for forgiveness is over. No rook will be safe.

@SirDimetrious If it were made by another studio it'd be fine. There is a large portion of ppl that absolutely want to see Bungie fail. The controversy around the art and whatnot means little. How many ppl did you see actively wanting to see CDPR fail after Cyberpunk disastrous launch? Very few

The Marathon discourse has been pretty wild. I have never seen this many people vehemently hate a game of this quality. If the PR run leading up to release had been different, I don't know if the backlash would be anywhere near what it is.

@BobNetworkUK Give Rook the Bully smg guaranteed every match and the free kit becomes irrelevant. Or at least let the player choose Rooks starting weapon. I'm not a fan of the pistols.

Marathon is fun but the only thing dragging it down for me is the infinite free kits. I go into squad fill lobbies geared to do my quests and help randoms with theirs, and I end up with free kit players almost all the time. Not only are they useless, they're absolute loot thiefs
