@RhianMeara My examiners told me I’d passed right at the start too. It meant I gave better answers to the questions they had subsequently and it felt more like a conversation than a test. I’ll forever be grateful for their thoughtfulness.

My examiners told me I'd passed at the start of my viva. I think they were concerned that I was about to vomit from fear and wouldn't get anything good out of me until I'd calmed down.

What might the viva experience be like if a candidate whose submitted work has 'passed' gets told, "Welcome.Let's establish that your thesis has passed.We'd now love to have a discussion to hear more about specific aspects of the work and offer suggestions to improve final copy"?

@MirelandMark I second @rememberthemilk! it’s easy to structure (like you I found I was wasting too much time organising more complex tools) and means I can keep a master to do list. I use my billet journal for weekly/daily to do lists (based off my master RTM list).

What do people use for to do list / task management? I've tried traditional paper and also Trello. I feel like I need something half way between. Trello I spent as much time organsing lists as I did doing the items, and paper lists gradually become less and less organised!
