Australia Has One Month Before Energy Crisis And Fuel Rationing zerohedge.com/geopolitical/a…

@AdamRackis It’s going to make Y2K look like a walk in the park. So much remedial work for those who want it.
English

Possibly go to different stores rather than click and collect from one. Choice and better prices exist, it just takes a bit of effort to shop around. Strangely that’s one thing previous generations did to ensure they could live within their means. And now they are lambasted for building up wealth.
English

@QBCCIntegrity @FranMooMoo Chopped Switzerland off to make sure it aligns to your narrative? Why do that? It just discredits your argument.

English

@r0ktech Initiate a Dictionary<int, bool> and populate it with all your values. Then do a simple lookup on the Dictionary[index] to return the bool. Easy. Code will be much easier to manage.
I built a website to demo it http://localhost:3000

@hiarun02 People are missing the key part. We will be able to code if AI is deemed to high a risk and pulled. In the meantime, I will continue to develop and not let Claude get its claws on my critical code.

@forallcurious This is St Patrick flying in to celebrate with all the Aussie Irish ☘️
English

@GordonGekko So it’s back to where it was 9 months ago? And that is generational for who? A mole?
English

@dedheddehded @JacintaAllanMP Ok dude. That’s me put in my place.
English

@jjones57692859 @JacintaAllanMP I still use terminology from the uk, where the survey is done by the seller.
English

@LayaboutSi @JacintaAllanMP We are talking about home inspectors not surveyors.

@shub0414 The consumer base won’t collapse, as populations will still want or need the services. Unemployment will become the norm and states will provide a living wage for all. The next 10 years will redefine how the world lives and doesn’t work.
English

@LayaboutSi If IT folks are redistributed into industries that are simultaneously facing unemployment bloodbaths, who exactly is left to pay for the products those industries provide? Can a tech-heavy workforce actually sustain an economy if the consumer base has effectively collapsed?
English

I see people’s cheering that IT folks will lose their jobs
If Al can write code and handle tech work, don't fool yourself, it won't stop there. It will move into accounting, healthcare, education, automobiles, real estate every single industry will feel the shockwave.
Job disruption is not a spectator sport.
Don't celebrate someone else's pain. You will be next.
English

@SoNowUknow2 Yes. That’s why I emigrated to Australia 15 years ago. Brexit accelerated it. There is no evident way for it to ever recover as there are no longer industries that can be competitively exported.
English

@James7Holland The nail in the coffin was VW getting into bed with Ford. VW buyers do not want a Ford with a premium payable for a BW badge. Terrible board decisions and far too greedy over past couple of decades.
English

Germany's vote to leave the EU is proving disastrous.

Australia almost last
Cost of living is astronomical
Info Battle Maiden@info_maiden
Easily the most depressing chart in existence.
English

@Greencandleit Maybe you should look at what is actually proposed. And then post based on that.
English

@elonmusk And banking regulations across borders are all sorted? Or is it just a glorified PayPal?
English

@antmillionsbot It follows 4 year cycles until the narrative doesn’t fit
English

@LayaboutSi @hamptonism Yeah, our govt just keep giving it away unfortunately. Hopefully that changes soon 🙏
