FACT No Palestinian land was stolen —————————————- The Arab leadership testified to both the Hope Simpson Commission 1930 & the Peel Commission 1937 that all land in the geography known today as Israel , formerly Palestine had been legally purchased . The buyers were individuals & Jewish & Zionist organisations There were 5 classes of land Mulk , Miri , Waqf , Metruke or Mewat . Mulk was freehold , Miri leasehold . Waqf was land under the protection of religious authorities & Metruke & Mewat was state land and wasteland owned ONLY by the state . These two categories accounted for approx 80 percent of the total geography & desert , forest , swamps , roads etc were all part of these 2 categories & this land was designated under international legally binding agreements to form part of the Jewish Homeland Mulk or freehold accounted for a total of just 1% of land ownership & all Mulk land was acquired legally . Miri or leasehold formed approximately 17 percent of the total land and in order to retain title the fellahin peasant farmers had to prove 3 consecutive years of agricultural production and pay land taxes . As a result of malaria and drought , the fellahin could not achieve the productivity levels required nor could they afford the punitive taxes . Moreover Arab ruling families and Bedouin clans realising the land price rises as a result of the Zionist zeal for land ownership drove the fellahin from their farms . Millions of dunams of Miri land was legally acquired from Syrian , Lebanese & Ottoman ruling families and clans and all documented. Moreover the leases were then extended from 3 years to 50 years for the Zionist farming collectives to achieve their agricultural production objectives. One of the reasons for the mass immigration into the geography during this period of land purchasing was simply non resident Arabs leveraging up on the economic benefits and improved living standards created by the Zionists skill in agricultural development . Sir Winston Churchill made several references to this in Parliament as did numerous Arab politicians . The Encyclopaedia Brittanica even recorded this mass Arab immigration 1911 The Lebanese Sarsaq , El - Salam families & Anthony & Michel El - Tynan from Syria are examples of those who sold millions of dunams to Jewish buyers . The Fellahin owned no land according to land registry records No ‘ Palestinian ‘ land was stolen . FACT 2 Both Gaza and the West Bank are within Israeli sovereign territory ————————————————————————————- The legally defined sovereign territory of Israel includes and has always included Gaza and the West Bank ( Judea and Samaria) Golan which is not included but occupied , which Israel under international law has a right to do because Syria is officially still at war with Israel . Until such time as Syria reverses this decision Israel under international law can still occupy the Golan Anyone using the description of illegal occupation when referring to either Gaza or the West Bank is promoting a false narrative. The arrangements of Israel leaving Gaza and dividing the West Bank into Palestinian controlled areas are purely political and not based on the defined immutability of international law The League of Nations Mandate 1922 ( includes the San Remo Treaty ) ratified & endorsed by the 1945 UN Charter Article 80 (among others & the legally binding principles of Acquired Rights & Estoppel ( both codified in the 1969 Vienna Convention Law of Treaties Article 70(1)(b) ) confirm Israel’s sovereign territory to include the West Bank & Gaza The last international ruling upholding this was the ruling of the 3rd Chamber Court of Versailles 2013 That is the legal situation No UN Resolution has the power to amend nor create other precedent as the UN by its Charter is not a legislative body & the courts under UN jurisdiction similarly cannot change binding law Paradoxically the word ‘ Resolution ‘ does not appear in the UN’s Charter

They turned every home in the Shia villages into a military position — either to store arms caches or as a firing position into Israel, taking advantage of the higher topography on the Lebanese side. Since then, for nearly 50 years, Israel has periodically gone into Lebanon to "clean it up" (first in 1978, last major operation in 2006) and then withdrawn, leaving Lebanon. In 2024, we had to go in again after Hezbollah fired daily rockets, destroying one civilian home after another in every Israeli village along the border. I didn't see Mario getting upset when hundreds of thousands of Israeli civilians and farmers were forced to flee their homes.Once again, we left Lebanon (except for five small strategically located hills) and signed a ceasefire. The Lebanese government promised to prevent Hezbollah from using southern Lebanon to attack Israeli civilians.And here we go again. Hezbollah is once more firing daily barrages of rockets (nearly 100 yesterday) at civilians in northern Israel. Yet Mario's outrage is not directed at Hezbollah, not at the Shia communities that harbor them, not at the Islamic regime in Iran that finances them, and not at the Lebanese government that promised to deal with them — but at Israel.He also seems afraid to interview Lebanese people who might challenge his views (see below), just as he was afraid to interview the long list of Iranian women I suggested earlier. There’s no formula for protecting your gear this close. Some photographers build wooden boxes with doors that pop open. Some use plastic bags and tape. Some do plastic or metal barn door rigs on hinges. I tend to leave mine open just in plastic rain covers because boxes limit my composition and setup time, but that means your cameras are more exposed to the elements and whatever energy and debris comes off the pad. Not sure if you know this, Martina, but for nearly 5 decades the UN has promised Israel that southern Lebanon would be kept free of terror orgs (PLO then, Hezbollah now) threatening northern Israel. That promise has been repeatedly broken. UN Resolution 425 was passed in 1978 after the PLO attacked civilians in northern Israel and deployed UNIFIL to secure the area south of the Litani River. The PLO returned under UNIFIL's watch and kept attacking northern Israel. In 2006, after a devastating war that Hezbollah started, the UN passed Resolution 1701 explicitly demanding Hezbollah withdraw north of the Litani River, which the Lebanese government even signed onto. Hezbollah ignored all of it and over the next two decades built thousands of rocket positions, tunnels, and bunkers right under UNIFIL's nose. UNIFIL did nothing. Lebanon did nothing. The UN documented the violations and did nothing. Hezbollah started attacking Israel on October 8, 2023 and for two years kept launching rockets, paralyzing all of northern Israel, displacing tens of thousands of Israelis (many of them Arab and Druze) seeking shelter, and turning cities like Metula and Kiryat Shmona into ghost towns. At the end of 2024, another ceasefire agreement made the same demand for Hezbollah to withdraw north of the Litani river. Hezbollah violated it again, joining the Iran War. Multiple guarantees. Multiple violations. All by these terror orgs. And Israeli civilians paid the price. Israel has had enough: neither the Lebanese government nor the UN have the capability nor the will to enforce these commitments. Israel is now justly taking matters into their hands, and anyone who's clutching their pearls about it needs to explain exactly what it is Israel should do instead. Otherwise, they're being either willfully ignorant or dishonest.

He also discussed potential energy pipeline routes through Saudi Arabia to bypass Hormuz, and mentioned growing Arab state cooperation with Israel. 5) Netanyahu stated Israel will refuse any externally imposed ceasefire in Lebanon, insisting it must remain Israel's independent decision. 6) Netanyahu criticized what he called a "massive depression industry" working to suppress Israeli public morale during the war. Netanyahu knows the US and Israel are losing the war and that Israeli public opinion is turning against him. He hopes to trap the US into an extended land war to change the equation.
