Whoever spews this sort of vitriol has likely never spent meaningful time in the Dominican Republic. The backlash toward Darializa wasn’t, in many people’s view, about her skin color. She’s the same complexion as Adriano. It was about statements interpreted as regretting Dominican independence and preferring the country to have remained under Haitian rule. That’s a debate about national identity and history, not simply race. And if someone advocates for an ethnically exclusive republic, whether black-only or white-only, that deserves the same criticism. The Dominican Republic is a diverse country, something that’s obvious to anyone who’s has actually been there.

Apparently, all it takes to smear an entire people now is calling them “Israelis.” What the hell is wrong with these people?

The DSA has turned the Democratic Party into its free Uber. They use its ballot line, fundraising ecosystem, and voter base, while attacking the very party they’re riding. If your goal is to replace the Democratic Party, have the courage to start your own.

Yesterday’s results carry a warning we cannot afford to ignore. 43% of Americans now view socialism favorably. 62% of young Americans. That is not a poll number. That is a generation that has never been shown what socialism actually does to people. Look at the record. Cuba. Venezuela. The Soviet Union. Wherever socialism has governed, it has delivered the same result: confiscated property, crushed opposition, and hungry people ruled by comfortable elites. In Cuba, political opponents were not only jailed. They were also taken to el paredón and shot. And yet American politicians and influencers still fly to Havana and fetishize that model. Last night, New York’s 13th District nominated Darializa Avila Chevalier, a democratic socialist who once called for seizing private property and nationalizing industries, then deleted her account when voters started paying attention. She won anyway. That tells you where this is heading. Yes, America has REAL problems. Costs are too high. Opportunity feels out of reach for too many. Those concerns deserve real answers. But every nation that has tried socialism has paid a steep price. And it is NEVER the leaders who pay it.
