@AnitaSwing Congratulations on your well-earned retirement! Where will your new home be located?
English

@reneegillespie_ I guess he liked his visit to Canada 🇨🇦. Your cousins will be thrilled!
English

@reneegillespie_ And you are going to find an employer who deserves all you have to offer - and that is a lot! Enjoy your break. So excited to see you in July
English

@mjakubec @CraigatCoF It really should not be so stressful to purchase tickets for a live show. 🤷🏼♀️ How does this get fixed?
English

@AnitaSwing I admire you for trying and completely understand; I am current FC Chair. I do not think anyone told me how soul sucking it would be 😬. Maybe I just wasn’t listening.

My son’s movie is coming to the Film Festival! I’m so proud!

@JoelWWood @Putsky88 @Kamscan The people who live in the community are also friendly and welcoming. I have always loved visiting there. They also host a great 10k run through a wooded trail.

Dinner tonight at 8pm was spinach, cheese & garlic pastries with mixed veggies & roast potatoes. #IntermittentFasting this would be lovely with a glass of Pinot, I’m really looking forward to #DryJanuary being over?

@lynneborle @DHerbertCBC Maybe it will make the existing stores more “clean” and attractive by tightening up the space. Right now they really just seem sad with merchandise in complete disarray. Not a great shopping experience.
English

@JoelWWood Ouch! One owl attack is weird but 4 in one night is downright bizarre! Sorry you were one of the 4. Plus, I know I would have been terrified!
English

@JoelWWood Where now 18% seems to be the minimum prompt. And yes, to retail outlets as well, where no one even spoke with you while you found and chose your item. And also pay a % to use your credit card please.
English

Meanwhile in Canada I get promted for 18%, 20% tips (even in retail shops!) when provided almost zero (or the bare minimum) service

"While Japanese trust may indeed be mediocre, Japanese trustworthiness is sky-high. Despite a near-absence of public trash cans, the streets are as clean as Disneyland’s. There’s no tipping, but the quality of service is the highest I’ve ever encountered." betonit.substack.com/p/reflections-…

@joeydhansen I am up early, drinking my coffee and wondering how I am supposed to start my day without #wordle. The streak ends today.
English

Reminder: Tomorrow don’t engage with the Times or any of its platforms. Dint read articles and don’t play #Wordle (my 100% streak ends at 310 apparently).
NYTimesGuild@NYTimesGuild
Today we were ready to work for as long as it took to reach a fair deal, but management walked away from the table with five hours to go. It’s official: @NYTimesGuild members are walking out for 24 hours on Thursday. We know what we’re worth.

@diane_e_wagner @TomRachman @Sulliview My daughter read The Imperfectionists by @TomRachman in her second year at university (2011). She loved it so much she bought us a copy. I just chose it for my book club last month; given the demise of print media in the last 11 years, it is still timely. And a great read!
English

Great list from @Sulliview - The Imperfectionists by @TomRachman is new to me but looks like a great read. Sullivan's book is a must-read too. #journalismmatters
