@MissMaggs1 @APLPteach Lots of sensory activities, sensory stories, what’s in the bag…. Create an element of curiosity. Allow the children to explore and move during the learning and lots of movement breaks. If you can get onto attention autism training I’d recommend it :)

Any advice or resources that are effective for verbal and non-verbal autistic pupils? This will be my first experience in an ALN specialist school #autism #specialistschool

Love a community trip with work when the children are enjoying themselves and say “This has been a really good experience” #worktrip #community #BathCityFarm

Thank you all for the support for World book day. The kids loved it! Here’s a pic of me as cat in the hat @deputygrocott @MrTs_NQTs

English

@KierstyT @MrTs_NQTs @deputygrocott I have used the app you have suggested and everyone at my schools loves it! Thank you for your help 🥰
English

@KierstyT @MrTs_NQTs @deputygrocott Fab thank you. I do have an app called photo speak so I may use that as well

What sort of activities are your schools doing for world book day?… Apart from possibly dressing up I want to encourage a love of reading @MrTs_NQTs @deputygrocott #NQTsupport #WorldBookDay

@KierstyT @MrTs_NQTs @deputygrocott Have you used an app to change voices for the masked reader? If so what app are you using?
English

@LittleMissJones @MrTs_NQTs @deputygrocott We’re doing The Masked Reader. Like the Masked Singer but with reading. All staff will take part & kids will guess the readers. Lots of whole school and class activities planned across the week.

@fidsta77 @MrTs_NQTs @deputygrocott @DarrellWakelam Omg his art work is amazing! This would be perfect in my school, thanks for the suggestion :)

@Toriaclaire 🦠🤯😴 we had a large number of staff of with covid which made the first week back very tiring

@LittleMissJones This is great advice thank you so much! I hope I can be as good a mentor as yours obviously was to you 🥰😃

@MissLeMole Pt 2. We also had a notebook that she could write a comment in as and when. This really helped with getting feedback as she could write in it instantly rather than remember everything at the end of the day.
English

@MissLeMole Pt1. I was recently a trainee teacher and what I found helpful was having weekly meeting about next weeks planning so I knew what I needed to do. My mentor allowed me the freedom to plan my own lessons but give me guidance when I was unsure about something.

@MrMa1tby @MrTs_NQTs @NetworkEct The teachers podcast by @Claire_Riley_TP and the curriculum by cornerstones education

@nqtkatie @MrTs_NQTs Also when in supply get lesson ideas. If work is left for you take a picture or make a copy so that you can use the ideas in future lessons :) good luck and I’m sure you’ll be great at it 👍🏼
English

@nqtkatie @MrTs_NQTs For your supply bag always have a range of books so you can do extended writing with a book and it can be easily differentiated. Also have a maths activity and then something fun for the afternoon. Most schools will leave work for you…

I’ve decided it’s finally time for me to make a teacher Twitter account! I’m an NQT / ECT on supply from September. Any hints/tips for supply? Please point me in the right direction of some good #edutwitter accounts on here?! Thanks 🙌🏻📚@MrTs_NQTs
