@Sainte_XIII @azulabetter i'd say it's both. she is used to having control over them, but they were also the only other people in her childhood she hung around. they were her friends, but if they ever tried to do anything she didnt like, she manipulated them into falling back in line.

You could argue her mental descent started not because her friends abandoned her, but instead because she began to realize her control over others was slipping. Would explain her second guessing the servant's intentions and her own paranoia before the last agni kai. If her own friends betrayed her who wouldn't? No matter what tho, it's pretty obvious Azula always considered control as a foundational basis for any of her close relationships. Guess that's part of the copium for when your mom abandons you in favor of keeping two face unscarred for a decade.

Azula was manipulative, controlling and abusive to Mai & Ty Lee but she genuinely believed them to be friends. If they were just assets to her their betrayal wouldn't be the start of her mental descent.

@DrAwesomeV2 Another thing is why didn't Kinger do ANYTHING with his knowledge the whole show? He watched Scratch get abstracted by Caine, then his other coworkers abtract, and lastly his WIFE, all while he's lucid, and at no point did he think to do something about it??

@DrAwesomeV2 knowing who kinger was, by his memory or otherwise, isnt enough to just be like, "let me mess with his ability to code".
Caine seems pretty reactive when it comes to the humans. not proactive.

@DrAwesomeV2 he never had a reason to. before it was never an issue (no one messed wit h code in a way that would interfere with his adventures).
and currently they are actively trying to distract him.
he is AI but he doesnt think of everything, or act in the "smartest" way

Dionne Quan being a legally blind VA and voicing Toph will be dope. Loved her as Kimi in Rugrats. Reminds me of when a deaf VA voiced Shoko, who was deaf, in the English dub of A Silent Voice.

@Kannas_Ricebowl i think the energy and perception aroudn a character can carry the idea of "strongest" but i think both being a force everyone fears AND us actually being able to see them do stuff is more important than just one of those things
