People realize that Trump and Netanyahu can just come up with excuse to do whatever they like after the election, right? Seems to me that’s likely a main motivation — US and Israeli establishments don’t want the question of peace to be central to an election.

My problem with both Netanyahu and Zelensky is that neither is interested in peace. The alternative  is endless war and the only way to win is genocide – the total destruction of your opponent. Ukraine cannot utterly destroy Russia any more than Israel can obliterate Iran. Neither will accept that because they believe that they can lure in other powers to achieve their goal.

@AIPAC Many Democrats refuse money from the NRA, or Big Pharma PACs, or Big Oil. This is based on policy disagreement. Of course I would meet with AIPAC constituents and engage in dialogue. There is nothing wrong with turning down funding from Americans whose policy you disagree with.

Notice how almost everyone on television and in national media is arguing against peace. It's stunning how unanimous they are that we should continue the war. They are all speaking out against the peace deal. Gee, I wonder if it has anything to do with Israel being against it.

On one hand, having Trump as president so that Netanyahu could finally manipulate the U.S. into going to war with Iran was a great opportunity for him. But on the other hand, his plan required him to depend on Trump. 🤷‍♂️
