Let’s talk about dynamic emission of $BRRR. First, the fuel for BRRR is settled transactions. The more transactions, the more complicated (heavy onchain logic) - the better. However, how can you assign value to each one? Can this value be gamed? We looked into the basics: Bitcoin difficulty. Everyone knows, but just to recap to myself, the Bitcoin difficulty is a number that represents how difficult it is for miners to add new blocks of transactions to the blockchain. This parameter is adjustable and can go up or down roughly every two weeks depending on how many blocks were mined in that period. BRRR’s emission is based on similar concept with some notable differences. 1. Emission is targeted for 10 years. Why? We believe that in that time the economy on top of BRRR will be sufficient to sustain without protocol rewards. 2. Emission is targeted for 1,000,000,000 transactions. Why? We believe that surpassing that number will prove sufficient usage of the protocol. But how is it glued together? The protocol looks into two main parameters and assigns base value to each transaction settled at every moment of time. If there are more transactions during given period - their base economic value is considered lower. If less transactions - higher. But that’s only the beginning. Each transaction settled consumes specific amount of gas (complexity), moreover, it can be consumed on multiple networks. This is the complexity multiplier that the consumer (service provider) pays to cover the settlement on the protocol. The complexity multiplier rearranges the reward value of the transaction in real time allowing system to react more swiftly to changes (in contrast to bitcoin network), and allows the protocol to offset complexity calculations to base mediums (aka blockchain networks). All this creates a robust system. Why would I care? Great question, thanks for asking Anton. The goal of BRRR is to create a sufficiently decentralized settlement network that can be credibly neutral, while also future-proof.

We view blockchain networks as medium for payment logic. $BRRR is gateway access for accessing that logic. And $BRRR has to had an ability to participate in the economy regardless of the transaction originating and destination networks. And that is a topic for next post.
