@jjschoch Thank you for your reply. It makes great sense. I fully agree it depends on individuals. The sensitivity to nightshade might vary among autoimmune patients and might change in different phases. For patients who are not sensitive to nightshade, ashwagandha would be a great remedy.

@Lotus_Peace That's a great question. I think it depends on the individual and their sensitivity to nightshade plants. With LC you often have a malfunctioning immune system which can cause an autoimmune-like reaction. Yet for me, I found that ashwagandha helped relieve those very symptoms.

- pace yourself both physically and mentally, rest by sitting rather than standing - get more sunshine if you can Most importantly, believe in your body’s healing potential, believe that you will get better, your health will improve no matter how long it takes 8/n

Dear LC patient friends, as someone who also suffers those symptoms and worries about health, I know how much impact it can have on your life and how many misunderstandings and loneliness you are suffering. Many LC patients have dysautonomia , damage to nerve system. 1/n

@ahandvanish Sorry to deviate from the question. Reading the replies, it looks like many LC patients are suffering from dysautonomia and hence have multi-organ symptoms, fatigue, cognition disorder, panic attack, and etc.

If you’ve gotten #LongCovid on a reinfection after recovering from earlier infection(s), what has your experience been like?

@lindastvpicks @TahirihWalsh It can be but doesn't have to be the case in LC brainfog. In LC it's more of a biochemical issue; increased intracranial pressure, cytokine storm, disrupted brain metabolism etc. I have days were I'm totally clear headed, next days I'm in a thick fog again. And repeat.

I’m speaking to my doctor this week about Long COVID. I have shortness of breath, fatigue and brain fog and am 10 months post infection. What should I ask him to test? On my list: D-dimer (clotting), ANA (antibodies), cortisol, Vit D and B12. Anything else?

@vic_yarrington I had similar issues this winter about retrieving words when using my 2nd language along with other LC symptoms. My language function got better with high dose VD supplement.

@Bradgolf1216 Hi Brad, very insightful tweets, you have very good intuition about dysautonomia/Autoimmunity/LC. I wonder if it is possible to discuss with you in private some of my observations about the chronic illness? Thanks!

@Bradgolf1216 Highly sensitive people (mainly determined by genes), about 1/5 of the whole population, seem extremely susceptible to autoimmune diseases and LC.

@chydorina @remissionbiome I am seeing a correlation between highly sensitivity (personal traits influenced by genes) and susceptibility to autoimmune diseases/chronic illnesses. Usually highly sensitive person react more strongly to drugs than other people.
