@ParassisO @Mr_Guantai How can you demand revocation of licenses when 90% + hold fake licenses. Kenya is a country to behold I tell you. Almost Everything is fake. All Boda must be retrained afresh. Most don't even know basic road rules. A big bunch are totally illiterate. Yet they r ours.

@Mr_Guantai There so many of such incidents that have gone unreported! I (recently) almost got hit by one as it sped on the wrong side of the road. I think the Govt should one day ground all of them across the country and have them reapply for licences.

Last evening a speeding boda boda that was also overlapping hit and killed my friend's daughter. A PP1 baby. I am beyond angry. These rogues need to be tamed and tamed now.

@CarolmNyaga Personally the horror stories about mortgages have really traumatised me. I'm one of those entrepreneural, high risk appetite type. That means my income is v irregular. A mortgage in Kenya will just kill me. The economic meltdown killed many businesses.I just shudder.

@Luther_Gen You nailed it. Parasitic is the word. For a country with such a thriving real estate sector, you'd think there would be more mortgages. But the conditions just aren't conducive. In my case started off at 12%,at one time it was 15%. For a secured loan, that is way too steep.

@CarolmNyaga Overall many banks are cozy & all nice to clients when one is moneyed & swimming in the chums. Wait until cashflow becomes a challenge.Then true colours set in. When negotiating the contract one is treated like the Queen. Until default. And the ninjas doing this r staff

@CarolmNyaga That's a thread/course that's a must for everyone. We live in a terribly parasitic & capitalistic society where profit is god above all. Housing ceases to be an essential service for citizens. Instead it's been turned into an instrument for torture. < 30,000 mortgages?

@Luther_Gen I'm glad that the said bank has (eventually) risen to occasion and we've started the year on a positive note. I hope it's the start of a better relationship with them.

@CarolmNyaga That thread is an entire course.I'm happy for you things started well this year with the Bank . Having said that, the lessons you have taught us are invaluable. We all learn. Many walk through that travesty of justice, but are never bold enough to stand up & fight.

Guys. I need your help. I'm being frustrated by a bank (name withheld) for having a mortgage with them. I pay my monthly installments on time, every month, and even make additional payments to reduce my principle but they consistently circumvent my efforts to do so. 1 A thread.
