Glad to be in Tamil Nadu to campaign for Congress candidate Shri Gopinath Palaniyappan from the Erode (East) Assembly constituency, a committed leader who has consistently worked for the welfare and development of the people. This is not delimitation. This is political re-engineering at the cost of Southern states. The proposal to increase Lok Sabha seats from 543 to 850 will systematically reduce the voice of the South, while rewarding unchecked population growth elsewhere. This is nothing but punishing progress and good governance. Let’s be absolutely clear: Congress fully supports Women’s Reservation. In fact, it was Smt. Sonia Gandhi’s vision and commitment that brought this dream to the national agenda. We demand that it be implemented without linking it to delimitation or seat expansion. I urge the Union Govt to not hide behind women’s empowerment to push a deeply unfair political agenda. Rushing such a massive restructuring of India’s democracy during elections, without transparency or consultation, is deeply suspicious and unacceptable. India’s strength lies in balance not in domination. In fairness and not in manipulation. The Southern states will stand united, speak in one voice, and defend the true spirit of federalism. South controlled Population South delivered Growth South delivered Welfare South is being PUNISHED for it? Population based formula or proportional increase of seats, both will reduce the relative constitutional weight of southern Indian states. The gap will become even more compounded over time as has been seen in the Finance Commission and allocation of central govt funds and projects. Eventually, South will have no say in central govt formation, no say in sharing of taxes, no say in parliamentary law making and will just become a colony. India is a federal country and a union of states. Modi or BJP will come and go, but permanent injustice and colonisation of the South is unacceptable. The delimitation bill and constitutional amendment bill have to be DEFEATED. 850 seats or any expansion should not be allowed without proper guardrails built to safeguard interests of southern, smaller and north eastern states.

Delimitation (தொகுதி மறுவரையறை) ஓர் ஆய்வு..! இந்தியாவில் மக்கள் தொகை மாற்றங்களை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டு, நாடாளுமன்ற (Lok Sabha) மற்றும் சட்டமன்ற (Assembly) தொகுதிகளின் எல்லைகளையும், எண்ணிக்கையையும் மறு சீரமைப்பு பண்ணி கொடுப்பதுதான் இந்த Delimitation. இந்திய பொருளாதாரத்தையும் மக்கள் வாழ்வாதாரத்தையும் மேம்படுத்த மக்கள் தொகையை கட்டுபடுத்த எமர்ஜென்சி டைம்ல அன்றைய ஒன்றிய அரசு (1976) கேட்டு கொண்டதற்க்கு இணங்க மக்கள் தொகையை பெருவாரியாக கட்டுபடுத்திய முதல் மாநிலம் தமிழ்நாடு மற்றும் தென்மாநிலங்கள் அனைத்தும் கட்டுபடுத்தின.ஆனால் மக்கள் தொகையை சிறிதளவு கூட கட்டுபடுத்தாமல் நாட்டின் மீது எந்த அக்கறையுமின்றி மக்கள் தொகையை மும்மடங்கு அதிகரித்தன வட மாநிலங்கள். eg. அன்றைய மக்கள் தொகை கணக்கீடு (1971) தமிழ்நாடு - 4.1 கோடி (39 மக்களவை தொகுதிகள்) பீகார் - 4.2 கோடி (40 மக்களவை தொகுதிகள்) இன்றைய மக்கள் தொகை (2024) தமிழ்நாடு - 7.5 கோடி பீகார் - 13 கோடி (அதாவது தொகுதி மறுவரை மூலம் பீகாருக்கு மூன்று மடங்கு தொகுதிகள் அதிகரிக்கும்....நாட்டின் வளர்ச்சி பங்களிப்பில் முதன்மை வகிக்கும் தமிழ்நாடு தொகுதி அடிப்படையில் பின் தங்கி இருக்கும்.. எ.கா - பீகாருக்கு கூடுதலாக 10 தொகுதிகள் கொடுத்தால் தமிழ் நாட்டிற்க்கு 10 தொகுதிகள் குறையும்.. இதே போன்று அனைத்து வட மாநிலங்களுக்கும் தொகுதிகள் அதிகரிக்கும்) எந்தவித கட்டுப்பாடும் இல்லாமல் இந்திய பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சிக்கு உதவாமல் வேலைவாய்பின்மை அதிகரித்து மக்கள் தொகையை அதிகரித்த வட மாநிலம் பீகாருக்கு கிடைக்கும் தொகுதிகள் போன்று உத்தரபிரதேசம் மத்திய பிரதேசம் ராஜஸ்தான் இப்படி லிஸ்ட் நீண்டுகிட்டே போகும் அனைத்துக்கும் தொகுதிகள் அதிகரிக்கும். மக்கள் தொகை கட்டுப்படுத்திய தென்மாநிலங்கள் தமிழ்நாடு கேரளா கர்நாடகா ஆந்திரா தெலுங்கானா அனைத்துக்கும் தண்டனை தருவது போல தொகுதிகள் விகிதாச்சார அடிப்படையில் குறையும். இந்தியாவை ஆளும் உரிமையை வடக்கு முடிவு செய்யும் என்ற கூட்ட தொடருக்குதான் (நாளை மறுநாள் கூடுகிறது)..இன்று நம் முதல்வர் ஒன்றிய அரசுக்கு எச்சரிக்கைவிடுத்ததற்க்கான காரணம் அதுவே.. தொகுதி மறுவரையால் தென்மாநிலங்களுக்கு என்ன பாதிப்பு ? எதனால நாம அதற்காக போராட வேண்டும்..? 1. கூட்டாட்சி முறை என்பது இல்லாமல் போய் விடும் 2. மாநில சுயாட்சி உரிமை பறிக்கபட்டு விடும் 3. விரிவாக்கம் அல்லது குறைப்பு செய்யபடுவதினால் தமிழ்நாட்டிற்க்கு பெருவாரி இழப்பு ஏற்படும் 4. இது நேரடியாக வடமாநிலங்கள் தென்மாநிலங்களை ஆதிக்கம் செய்ய கூடிய நிலைமைக்கு தள்ளி விடும் 5. நாட்டின் பிரதமரை தென் மாநிலங்கள் இல்லாமலயே தேர்வு செய்யும் நிலைக்கு கொண்டு வரும் 6. மக்களவையில் ஒன்றிய அரசு செய்யும் தவறுகளை பெரும்பான்மையாக தட்டி கேட்கும் தமிழ்நாட்டின் பிரதிநிதிகள் குறைந்து விடுவார்கள். 7. மக்களவையில் தென்மாநிலங்களின் பிரதிநிதித்துவம் குறையும் 8. மும்மொழி கொள்கை இந்தி திணிப்புக்கு வித்திட்டு விடும் 9. இப்போதைய சூழலில் கூட நம்மை அடக்குமுறை கொண்டு ஆட்சி செய்யும் ஒன்றிய அரசு..நம்மை ஏறிட்டு கூட பார்த்திடாத நிலைக்கு கொண்டு வந்துவிடும் 10. தமிழ்நாட்டிற்க்கு முறைபடி வர வேண்டிய நிதிகள் ஏற்கனவே நிலுவையில் இருக்க..அந்த நிதி முற்றிலும் குறைத்து ஒன்றுமில்லாமல் ஆக்கிவிட முடியும் 11. நாட்டிலேயே அதிக வரி செலுத்தும் மூன்றாவது மாநிலமான நம்மிடம் வரி வசூலித்து வட மாநிலங்களுக்கு கொடுக்கும் நிலைமை வந்து விடும் 12. மதவாத பாஜகவின் அடக்குமுறை சட்ட தீர்மானங்கள் நம்மை கலந்து ஆலோசிக்காமலயே முடிவு செய்யப்படும். 13. மக்களவையில் சட்ட திருத்த மசோதா மூலம் எதை வேண்டுமானாலும் செய்யமுடியும். எந்த மாதிரியான சட்டங்கள் என்றால். a)CAA + NRC சட்டத்தை அமுலுக்கு கொண்டுவர முடியும் b) நீதிபதிகளை பாஜகவிற்க்கு ஏற்றார் போல் கொண்டு வர முடியும் c)தற்போதைய மதசார்பற்ற அரசியலமைப்பு சட்டத்தையே அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்றார் போல மாற்றி இந்திய ஜனநாயகத்தையே புதைத்துவிட முடியும். d) இஸ்லாமிய மக்களுக்கு எதிராக முத்தலாக் சட்டம் e) தேர்தல் ஆணையத்தை ஏற்கனவே உச்ச நீதிமன்ற தலைமை நீதிபதி இல்லாமலயே அவர்களாகவே தேர்வு செய்யும் சட்டம் கொண்டு வந்தது..தேர்தல் ஆணையும் முற்றிலும் அவர்கள் கட்டுபாட்டில் வைத்து ஜனநாயகம் என்ற ஒன்று இல்லாமல் செய்து விடும் f) எல்லா மதத்தினரும் ஒரே சட்டம் மற்ற மதத்தின் கோட்பாடுகளை குழி தோண்டி புதைத்து விடும் இன்னும் லிஸ்ட் போய்ட்டே இருக்கும். எந்த ஒரு கட்சியும் நம் தமிழ் நாட்டிற்க்கு வந்து கொண்டிருக்கின்ற இந்த மிகப் பெரிய ஆபத்தை கண்டு கொள்ளாமல் இருக்க..நமது முதல்வர் இதற்க்காக குரல் கொடுத்து இருப்பது நமது உரிமைக்காக. நமது தமிழ்நாட்டிற்க்காக.. தமிழ்நாடு போராடும் தமிழ்நாடு வெல்லும் சிந்தித்து வாக்களிப்பீர் #VoteForDMK #FairDelimitation
