Polanski's Green Party plans to give migrants Universal Basic Income of up to £1,600 a month in a scheme critics brand 'madness'. Which would cost taxpayers £19 billion a year. Between May and June 2025, Hughes thought he was speaking to a 12YO and 13YO girl online but were actually decoy police. Hughes admitted attempting sexual communication and attempting sexual activity with a girl under 13 and a girl aged 13-15. Hughes was suspended from the Labour Party in October 2023 following an undisclosed complaint about his behaviour. He sat on: - the Children's Services Select Committee - the Children and Young Person’s Scrutiny Committee - Children’s Corporate Parenting Board His defence said he was of "previous good character" and used the following excuses: ▪️ grew up with parents who had alcohol problems ▪️ was suffering mental health difficulties ▪️ It was "a period of isolation - he just wanted to talk to someone" (little girls!!) ▪️He was "self-medicating" with cocaine, cannabis and alcohol Recorder Siddiqi sentenced Hughes to 32 months in jail and made him subject to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
